Eligibility Requirements (Course Enrollment)

To enroll in this program, participants should:

  • Have a keen interest in human resources leadership or management.
  • Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of HR experience,
    or
    possess a high school diploma with at least three years of HR work experience (as recommended by SHRM for certification exam eligibility).
  • Be committed to attending all course sessions and actively participating. To be successful in this course, you will need to read the chapters and work through sample test questions before each session. Come prepared each week to discuss the topics and get instruction and testing advice from our experienced facilitators.
  • (For those aiming to sit the SHRM exam:) Meet SHRM’s stated exam eligibility criteria.

Note: While formal SHRM exam eligibility is not required to take the review course, meeting SHRM’s criteria is essential for those who wish to sit the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® exams. Click here to review current SHRM exam guidelines for detailed requirements.

Payment Policy
  • A non-refundable down payment of CI $600 is due at registration.

  • Register by July 28, 2025 to avoid late fees.

  • Payment plan: CI $600 at registration, second payment by August 29, 2025, final payment by September 29, 2025.

  • Full payment must be completed before the program start unless a payment plan is approved.

  • Late fee of CI $100 applies to payments completed after July 28, 2025.

Substitution Policy

 

  • Written notice is required by August 15, 2025, to substitute one participant for another.

  • The replacement must meet all participant qualifications.

  • Substitutions after this date are not guaranteed acceptance.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy
  • Withdrawals before September 1, 2025:

    • Refund minus CI $600 cost of learning materials and CI $100 admin fee (CI $700 total).

  • Withdrawals on or after September 1, 2025:

    • No refunds (materials and administration costs have been committed).

  • No refunds after program start (September 6, 2025)

  • All program withdrawal requests must be received in writing.

  • If a registrant fails to attend without notification, or if a withdrawal occurs on or after a program start date, full tuition will be forfeited.

Bio:
Ray Swarts is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership, facilitation, human capital consulting, training, public speaking, and risk management and IT consulting. He has worked with organizations of all sizes, from five-person teams to 2,500-employee multinationals, and across diverse international backgrounds.

Ray holds multiple industry-recognized certifications and serves as the Training and Development Director for the Cayman Islands Society of Human Resources Professionals (CISHRP). He is an active member of both CISHRP and SHRM.

Mission & Teaching Philosophy:
Ray is passionate about helping individuals and organizations improve from “good and great” to “outstanding and amazing” – all to make an impact that matters. As he often says:
“Don’t reinvent the wheel – re-engineer it!”

Ray believes HR professionals should train to the highest standards to serve their organizations best.
