The International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI) proudly marked a significant milestone on 30 May 2026 with the successful completion of its first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Certificate Short Course. This inaugural programme reflects ICCI’s commitment to providing innovative, relevant, and career-focused learning opportunities that prepare individuals for success in an increasingly technology-driven world.

In keeping with its mission to advance the potential for leadership and foster a commitment to community service, ICCI remains dedicated to equipping students with practical skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-directed learning. Building on the success of this first AI course, the College will continue to offer similar programmes designed to help professionals, entrepreneurs, and lifelong learners develop the knowledge and competencies needed to thrive in the 21st-century workforce.

 Applications are now being accepted for future AI courses. Prospective participants are encouraged to register their interest by completing an application and securing their place in upcoming cohorts. Join ICCI in exploring the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and developing the skills needed for the future of work. 

Ms. Melisa Bent-Hamilton is a proud alumna of the International College of the Cayman Islands. She was interviewed and awarded the position of adjunct faculty at ICCI immediately after completing her Master’s degree in Business Administration and Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resources at the college in the fall of 2012. Apart from her prior teaching and management experiences, Melisa shows full support of the college and her energy and enthusiasm for teaching and development makes learning fun. By June 2014, she had subsequently landed the position of Academic Dean as a result of her hard work, pedagogical excellence and commitment to the institution. Ms. Bent-Hamilton has held the position of Academic Dean at the college for two and one half years. Currently, she serves in the capacity of Registrar, and takes her role as chief custodian of students’ records very seriously with humility. Ms. Bent-Hamilton mentors students to exert themselves and unleash their full potential while at the same time guiding them toward their goals. She has shown a commitment to higher education and zeal to help others above and beyond the normal call.
