[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear Students and Faculty:
We are very pleased to report that ICCI email is back up and running as of today. We have completed the domain transfer.
The domain has been switched from “myicci.com” to “icci.edu.ky.”
This means that your new email addresses will likely be “yourfirstname” DOT “your last name”@icci.edu.ky so for example: Jane.Doe@icci.edu.ky
This move strengthens the College’s market position as an education entity with the “.edu” identification and provides students with more access to educational benefits from vendors because we are clearly identified as an education institution.
For one, now that we are a Google education member, your storage on Google is basically unlimited. We were not for Google education services eligible as a “.com”
Read here about the other benefits of being a Google education member.
As you know, “.com” is traditionally reserved for businesses.
We will still be using the Google platform in the new email system, so it will look and feel the same as before.
To get access to your new user name and password, please see the registrar Dr. Yisrael, Robert Lynch, ICCI FM radio director or Dr. Marshall, President.
We will get you all set up.
At a later time, we will send out information on how to migrate all of your data from your old myicci.com account to your new @icci.edu.ky account.
Please be sure to let all of your contacts know that you have a new email address. Please remember that you will not be able to receive or send any email from your myicci account. You will still have access to your old email for about a month so that you can transfer all of your old materials.
As of today, the College will only be communicating with you through the ICCI.edu.ky email address.
Thank you again for your patience with this process. We again apologize for any inconvenience; we understand the timing of the transition was less than perfect.
However, it is evident that as students and faculty you will have more enhanced services because of the switch.
Best of luck on your final few days of the Spring Quarter. We wish you every success during your final exams.
Best,
Dave
